The Lundbreck bridge was built in 1953 as part of Highway 3 that runs from southern British Columbia to southern Alberta. The falls (included in a different project) are located about a 100 meters upstream and are the main attraction for most visitors. The highway was realigned in the mid 60's and a modern steel bridge, located further downstream, replaced this more aesthetic / less functional beauty.
